What is the Project Score?
The Project Score is a balanced composite metric that ranks projects based on three key dimensions: total community activity, user diversity, and content volume. This holistic approach ensures that projects with both high engagement and broad participation rank higher.
Formula Used
Project Score = (Total User Score × 60%) + (Active Users × 50 × 20%) + (Total Posts × 2 × 20%)
Components Explained
-
Total User Score (60% weight)
Sum of all individual user performance scores from the project's community. Reflects overall engagement quality.
-
Active Users Count (20% weight)
Number of unique users who posted during the period, multiplied by 50 points each. Rewards community diversity and broad participation.
-
Total Posts (20% weight)
Total number of posts fetched during the period, multiplied by 2 points each. Values consistent content production.
Example Calculation
Project Example
Total User Score: 75,200 | Active Users: 37 | Total Posts: 156
Calculation
- Total Activity: 75,200 × 0.6 = 45,120 points
- User Diversity: 37 × 50 × 0.2 = 370 points
- Content Volume: 156 × 2 × 0.2 = 62.4 points
Final Project Score: 45,552 points
